Walking through Subotica, a beautiful city located in the north of Serbia, which is full of old architectural objects, churches, cathedrals, monuments, and various other sacral buildings and cultural sights, I came across this magnificent monument. You can see the gorgeous City Hall building Behind which is also one of the main sights of Subotica.
Holy Trinity monument in Subotica, Serbia is located on the Republic Square near the impressive City Hall and the Blue fountain. It is the work of Karl Salzer and was set up in 1815 on the former market place. The government made the decision to move the monument to the square between the Cathedral of St.Theresa of Avila and the building of the Subotica Diocese In 1964. where it was until December 2014. It was restored at the initiative of the Hungarian National Council at the expense of the landowner Matija Vojnić from Bajsa In 2016. and was returned to its nowadays location. The restoration work was performed by the academic sculptor Karolina Biaci. This monument is surrounded by trees and greenery and there are benches as well if you want to seat and rest in the park enjoying in view. It is one of the main cultural sights in Subotica and you should see it if you ever visit this beautiful town in the north of Serbia.
